February 11th

Twenty years ago today, our son was born. Ten hours later, he died.

He was our fifth child and our third son. My pregnancy was very easy, I did not gain much weight.  I remember having energy to take care of our children, as well as homeschooling two of them.

I am not going to give details here … that is not the purpose of writing today.

I am writing because I want other moms (and dads) to realize that life does go on. If you are dealing with a child who is dying, a miscarriage, or your child has already died – I promise you … You will always remember your child. No one can take that away from you. You will not always hurt. One day, you will realize that you made it through the day, and you did not cry (and then you will probably feel guilty).  But, life does go on.

I remember with such clarity the peace of heart and mind that my Heavenly Father was so real … Troy & I were able to make decisions because we had so many people praying for us and with us throughout the entire weekend. I wish that I could put these memories to paper … maybe one day they will come out of my head clearly!

One thing I do remember more than anything else during that time, is that I remember singing hymns in my head over and over. Sometimes, I would find myself humming them or singing them out loud without realizing it. One of the hymns that was so helpful was “It Is Well with My Soul” by Horatio Spafford.

In closing, know that I am here, if you need to talk or someone to pray with!

Monday Mingle Business Edition Introduction

Monday Mingle Business Edition from Party Plan Divas

I am taking the plunge today!

I am joining Lynsey at Party Plan Divas as she is launching the 2015 Monday Mingle Business Edition this week with my introduction.

My name is Belinda and I have several home businesses, and I will tell you a little bit about each one in just a bit. But first, my husband and I have been married for over 27 years. We have nine children, two of whom got married in the past year, and the other six are still at home.

HomeWorks By Precept
In April 2003, I was asked to join this brand new company to share my love of homeschooling while encouraging moms & dads as they homeschool their families. I love holding workshops and seminars to help homeschool families during all parts of their home school journey. Starting in March each year, I travel throughout Maryland and West Virginia (and the other Mid-Atlantic states) to homeschool conventions and meetings to share the great educational resources that our company represents. I also love having moms (and their children) in my home throughout the year both to see the products in a more personal manner but also to just talk over a cup of coffee. These companies include: BJU Press, Rosetta Stone, Logos Science kits, Keyboard Classroom, and ARTistic Pursuits.

Plexus
Right after Thanksgiving, I became an Ambassador with Plexus Worldwide. As a life goal, I knew that I needed to work on becoming healthier and I really loved the taste of the Plexus Slim! I have found that I nibble less and have fewer cravings, which is wonderful! Also, in the past two months, I have lost a total of 24 inches off my entire body.

Norwex
I had known about this company for several years, but just this past fall decided to join. I had already been using microfiber cloths for a while, but they just did not last … and they did not have the antibacterial properties that are only available in the #Enviro cloths. I have never seen a demonstration but as I am learning more about the products, I want the entire catalog.

Well, this is just a little bit about my businesses.
